Manchester City can take a step closer to the Premier League title tonight but face a tricky assignment at Molineux against Wolves.
City are level on points with Liverpool at the start of the game, but lead on goal difference, having played one game more. They can restore their three-point gap with a win at Wolves, with just seven points from their last three games needed to claim the title. Wolves drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out, however, and have proved tough opponents for City in recent years, so this will be far from a straightforward game.
Pep Guardiola will be without Kyle Walker, John Stones and Ruben Dias for the last three games, while Nathan Ake is doubtful. He trained on Tuesday and will be assessed before kick-off to determine if he is fit enough to play.
Much of the preparation for this match will focus on Erling Haaland, with City confirming a deal for the prolific striker on Tuesday. Guardiola said he ‘wasn’t allowed’ to speak about Haaland during his press conference – before the deal was announced – so he will give his first thoughts on the signing tonight.
