The ITV Games delighted viewers on Tuesday night with its second episode of sporting fun – where Wes Nelson swept the board in the men’s and mixed events and Ryan Thomas accidentally lost his trunks.
The 24-year-old former Love Island star won the men’s 50m freestyle and topped the synchronized diving standings with partner ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini.
In atmospheric scenes live at the London Aquatics Centre, Wes beat stiff competition in the 50m freestyle, as he took on fellow celebrities Colson Smith, Ryan Thomas Max George, Josh Herdman and Kevin Clifton.

In the race, Wes came in first, followed by Max in second and Josh in a respectable third.
Speaking after his win, a breathless Wes said: “I did a bit of doggie paddling before I got to the wall for the turn but in the end it was fine.
“I was just trying not to drown!” I tried to swim my own race and get the goal and I’m so thrilled with this performance! »
Corrie’s Colson came last but wowed fans and audiences with his performance after learning to swim just five weeks ago for the competition.
Oh no! Viewers were distracted at the end of Ryan’s dive after his speedos partially fell off due to the force of the water and he ended up flashing his butt.

Speaking after the race, he said: “I’m buzzing, I’m the happiest person to have come last to an event!” But it’s a top for me I’m so happy! I beat my best time, I did it in less than 55 seconds!’
In a previous VT, viewers saw how Colson worked out in practice and how nervous he was about competing in pool events after being called “the fat kid at school” so that he was in his trunks.
He said: “He only learned to swim five weeks ago. I was the fat kid in school so I didn’t want to get in the pool.

“Then I got addicted to running and I lost weight. So I want to show that I have no limits now and try to do it in less than a minute.
Next up for the competitors was the synchronized dive where the stars jumped off a 5m board in their mixed pairs.
While Ryan and partner Chelsea Grimes won in the second round of the event, it was Wes and Lucrezia who came out on top overall.

Elsewhere in the episode, Ryan came first in the canoe slalom event while Olivia Attwood beat the girls to finish first in the women’s 50m breaststroke.

The Games will take place every night this week until Friday, April 13, with the 12 competitors competing in a series of challenges.
It comes after weeks of grueling training, which saw the celebrities put through their paces in intense preparation.
All were taken out of their comfort zone to be trained as athletes, swimmers and cyclists, to compete in the hopes of coming to the top of the medal table and being crowned winners.
Hosted live by Holly and Freddie Flintoff, The Games also features former professional football player and presenter Chris Kamara as a commentator.
After Ryan flashed his inferior host, Alex Scott then joked, “We saw your little dysfunction there!”

Through sporting challenges, celebrities will rack up points on the medal table as they compete to rise to the top.
As the leader board takes shape each night, the series will culminate in an exhilarating final showdown in which a male champion and a female champion will be crowned.
The Games continue Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. on ITV.
